EAS AM (58Khz) Pedestal & Invisible Systems
We install and maintain a large range of Acousto-Magnetic (AM 58Khz) pedestal and invisible systems for retail stores.
From small independent stores to large National chains, we have a tagging system to suit all size of store, large or small.
Below is just a few of the AM tagging systems available.
For more information contact us and we will be glad to help you choose what is right for you and your store.
Wide Exit AM
The Wide Exit AM antenna is specially designed to ensure maximum detection coverage, even across wider entrances.
With the same technology as all our AM range, it offers exceptional quality and performance.
Optimum AM (Standard)
The Optimum AM antenna is our standard and most popular antenna in the UK.
The system is fully digital and has the latest technology with outstanding detection resulting in a minimum number of false alarms.
With its advanced technology and powerful signal strength, the Optimum antenna is unparalleled for accuracy and reliability in detecting tagged items.
X-Clear AM
A full black X-Clear AM antenna.
A solid acrylic structure is supported by high-end, thin aluminium profiles. The slim base makes the X-Clear AM one of the thinnest EAS systems on the market today.
With the same technology as all our AM range, it offers exceptional quality and performance.
Concealed Door Loop AM
Our AM Loop system is a fully concealed EAS System.
This is a designers dream….. which can be integrated into the door frame or surroundings - resulting in a fully invisible system.
The system fulfils the need for those retailers who do not want to have EAS Antennas at their entrance.
In addition to the usual ways, the detection of the “shoplifter” can be channelled through remote alarms, or an optional silent alarm resulting in a 100% discreet system.
Concealed Floor Loop AM
With the same technology and design as the Door Loop, we are able to install this just in the floor. Ideal when you are not able to fix to a door frame, or where there is no door frame at all - glass entrances for example.
Offering the same features and benefits as the door loop - but hidden in the floor……
Tags, Labels & Consumables
We supply an extensive array of security tags & labels, detachers and deactivators.
Our range of hard tags allows for protection across almost all merchandise types including fashion, accessories, food, sunglasses & DIY to name a few….
We can also work to bespoke tags & label solutions to meet your needs.

EAS AM FAQs
-
An Acousto-Magnetic (AM) system runs at a specific frequency 58kHz, and it works using a clever mix of magnetism and sound. The antennas by your exit doors emit a magnetic signal, and inside your security tags or labels are tiny metallic strips. When an active EAS tag gets close to the exit, those strips physically vibrate at exactly 58kHz.
The antenna picks up that specific vibration instantly and sets off the alarm. Because the system looks for that exact physical vibration, it's incredibly accurate and brilliant at ignoring background noise, meaning you get amazing detection with almost zero false alarms.
-
It really just comes down to the layout of your front doors:
· Wide Exit AM: This is the one you want if you have a massive, wide-open storefront. It’s designed to cast a wide net, giving you full coverage from edge to edge without forcing you to put an awkward, intrusive antenna right in the middle of your doorway.
· Optimum AM: This is our most popular choice across the UK. It's the standard go-to for traditional single or double-door entrances.
Whether you’re a small independent boutique or a national chain clothing store with a multi-story layout, the whole range is easy to scale to different sizes to perfectly fit your space.
-
If you want to protect your stock but hate the look of plastic pedestals blocking your entrance, we can actually hide the security system completely out of sight:
· Concealed Door Loop AM: We fit this system directly inside your existing door frame, making it completely invisible to shoppers.
· Concealed Floor Loop AM: If you have an open-concept glass entrance with no door frame to work with, we can route the system right into the floor.
Both options give you the exact same reliable 58kHz protection as a standard antenna, but without changing the look or feel of your shop floor.

The biggest benefit of an AM system is its raw signal strength. Running at 58kHz makes it incredibly stable, meaning it easily ignores background noise from nearby electronics and gives you far fewer false alarms than standard RF EAS technology.
Because the AM signal is so powerful, it can also pass straight through liquids and foil-lined packaging where RF tags usually struggle. This makes it the absolute best choice if you're trying to protect high-end fashion, cosmetics, perfumes, or packaged grocery items that need reliable, foolproof security.
-
Hardly ever. Modern AM systems are fully digital, meaning they are brilliant at filtering out background noise from nearby checkout electronics or automatic doors. Because the 58kHz frequency is so distinct, the system is incredibly stable. Generally, it will only ever go off if an active security tag actually passes through the entrance. This means your staff can react confidently to every single alarm, knowing it’s a genuine alert rather than a glitch disrupting your customers' shopping experience.
-
It's incredibly effective because of the massive variety of tags it supports. You aren't limited to just one style or material; you can use tough hard tags for clothing, delicate self adhesive labels for cosmetics and perfumes, or heavy-duty alarming tags for high-value tech items.
Because the system is so adaptable, you can secure almost your entire inventory with a single setup. It acts as an instant visual deterrent to potential theft, letting them know your stock is protected while operating quietly and reliably in the background.

The installation process is highly streamlined and efficient. To make sure it doesn't impact your trading hours, our engineering teams usually handle the entire installation overnight or outside of your standard business hours.
The job itself is pretty straightforward: we bolt down the pedestals (or install the hidden loops), run the data cables, and digitally tune the 58kHz signal to perfectly fit your entrance layout. Once the hardware is set up, we'll walk your team through how to deactivate the tags and handle alarms so everyone is comfortable using the system from day one.

Aside from great 58kHz security, modern AM systems can do a lot more than just sound an alarm. Our premium range can be linked right up to your network to give you some really useful data:
· Built-in people counting: Track exactly how many visitors are walking through your doors each day to measure footfall.
· Remote servicing: We can run digital diagnostics and fix software tweaks remotely, keeping maintenance visits to a minimum.
·Real-time alarm data: Keep tabs on exactly when and how often alarms are triggered to help you spot patterns in shoplifting behaviour and prevent theft.
