Intrepid & Rescue P.A.W.S

Having taken a form of sabbatical over the past few months in southeast Asia, Intrepid’s CEO and Founder Noel Verbruggen came across Rescue P.A.W.S. in Hua Hin Thailand. This charity, founded ten years ago, has a simple ethos: Providing Animal Welfare through Sterilisation. It is their goal to reduce the number of stray animals in their community, which in turn, improves animal welfare. Not only do they offer a free sterilization services to the local community, but they also provide food for stray animals and food donations to low income local families. In addition to free veterinary care, Rescue P.A.W.S. also houses animals who cannot return to the street. Some of these animals go on to find loving homes both locally and internationally, while others remain at the clinic as resident animals where they can receive the ongoing care that they require.

Rescue P.A.W.S. is a not for profit organization which receives no government funding. They rely  solely on the generosity of their supporters and donations from food manufacturers in order to complete the work that is desperately needed in the community. Their reputation in Hua Hin is second to none. In addition to helping animals in the area, they also visit a temple that is home to some sixty orphaned primary school aged children from neighbouring Myanmar. A number of staff and volunteers visit the school every Wednesday afternoon to provide free English lessons and donate various teaching aids, all produced within the P.A.W.S. Centre.

1% of all Intrepid Group’s sales over the coming year will go to this amazing charity. We will also be running some charity events which we hope you will support directly. Meanwhile if you would like to make a donation please use the DONATE button below.

About Rescue P.A.W.S.

  • The Problem

Rescue P.A.W.S was first established in 2013 in Hua Hin, Thailand, to feed the growing number of stray animals in the area. It quickly became clear that feeding alone was actually exacerbating the problem and that a major effort was needed to halt overpopulation and ease the suffering of stray dogs and cats.

  • The Solution

Rescue P.A.W.S. believes that the solution to overpopulation and stray animal suffering requires a multi-pronged approach involving sterilization, medical care, and adoptions to stop overpopulation and provide quality of life, and community education to provide long-term, sustainable change.

  • The Impact

Rescue P.A.W.S. program aims to provide accessible vet care, sustainable food supplies, and timely assistance for animals. We empower local rescuers, enhance animal welfare, and reserve our facilities for serious cases by preventing and treating illnesses in the field.

Noel Verbruggen, CEO & Founder

“For most of my life, not only when I was living with my parents, but also once I’d moved out and had my own family, there was always a cat or a dog around. Apart from the obvious benefits, the unconditional love and the joy they bring to our lives, there is the responsibility we have to treat them with decency and respect. Their effect on our quality of life and mental wellbeing cannot be understated. Unfortunately, not everyone thinks this way and because of the commitment and love that is required to share this planet with our animal friends, some animals need our help. We all know there are far too many unwanted and badly treated pets in this world and in my small way I want to make it better. Please give generously.”
