With this unit the EM strip in a book can be activated and reactivated.(EM Security)The ID of a book can be read from the RFID tag in the book.Item -ID identification) The EAS-bit of the RFID tag can be set or re-set. (RFID Security) The barcode of a book can be scanned and the resulting book ID written into the book's RFID chip. (Conversion) Optional: The unit can also write the library ID (ISIL number)into the chip. For conversion functionality, the unit needs to be extended with a barcode scanner. The unit shows three backlit options: STATUS, LENDING and RETURNING. The back light is used for both illuminating the text on a button and presenting statusinformation to the user (green, red or blue light). TheSTATUS button also functions as a power on/off switch. By pressing the Status buttio for more than one second the unit will toggle the on/off state. |
