INTREPID SECURITY SOLUTIONS"Inspirational" Libraries Protected By Intrepid SecurityBooks and other media at two of Ireland’s “most inspirational” libraries are being protected by systems installed by the library division of Intrepid Security. Johnston Central Library, Cavan and South Dublin County Library, Tallaght are listed on a database established by NAPLE, the National Authority on Public Libraries in Europe. The objective of the database (www.librarybuildings.info) is to promote ‘best practice’ in library design. “Public libraries are no longer just used for borrowing books,” said Neil Jackson who heads up Intrepid Security’s Library division. “People nowadays visit libraries for all sorts of reasons including use the internet, to do their homework and looking at exhibitions. With this diversity comes the increased risk of attracting would be thieves. We are proud to be helping protect the assets of two of Ireland’s highly regarded libraries.”
